about

DeWeese Street, the legendary Lexington KY thoroughfare that's now a thing of the past. It was home to a number of African American clubs where one could listen to jazz and enjoy a cold drink during summers hottest nights. With a NOLA feel, Lee Carroll on Hammond organ and Robert Frahm on guitar, I can close my eyes and see Deweese Street comes back to life.
